About this tool

A food-themed twist on the random order race — same fair, fully randomized mechanic as the classic Race Timer, with a cast of distinct, smiling characters (nigiri, a maki roll, an onigiri rice ball, a gyoza dumpling, and a soup dumpling) racing through a lantern-lit night market toward the finish line instead of plain icons. Paste in your student list, hit start, and let the tasty crew decide who goes first.

Works for anything you'd use the classic Race Timer for: presentation order, reading turns, deciding who answers first, or picking a line-up order at dismissal. The food theme tends to land well with classes that respond to something a bit different from the usual animal or fantasy themes.

As with every race on this site, there's no limit on class size, no account required, and results are different every single time — reset and race again as many times as you like during a lesson.
