About this tool

A Halloween race timer for the classroom: a jack-o'-lantern, a friendly little ghost, a young witch on her broom, a black cat and a cheerful mummy race through a moonlit pumpkin patch, and the order they finish becomes your turn order. Everything is cute rather than scary, so it works for kindergarten right up through middle school.

Use it through October for presentation order, reading turns, costume-parade line-ups, or deciding who answers first in a Halloween vocabulary review. It's especially handy for ESL classes doing a Halloween unit — the characters double as vocabulary (pumpkin, ghost, witch, black cat, mummy).
